dug up this little badge thingy last nyt and didnt think to much about it other than it was silver.
googled it wen i got home and couldnt stop giggling. it turns out to be a cufflink for the Ancient Order of Froth Blowers.
huh? i here you say. well this order started in the early 1920s in the uk and was loosly based on a pub charity type
club. they even have there own song/chant. the cufflinks were made by bimingham medal co in 1926-1927 and were stirling silver.
there were 130,000 made but the order had fizzled out by 1930. the cufflinks were awarded to members who recruted somany new members.
very cool. i class it as one of my best finds and will leave it in the same condition as i dug it.
