Yeah, an amazing day!

I did 117 coins all up. 24 silvers.

2 half crowns, 5 florins, 5 shillings 8 6d's 3 3'd and a 1916 UK 3d

One of the shillings is in amazing condition. I'm gonna get Simon to rate it for me at the next meeting. :)

That weird coin I found that you reckoned was an Aussie Penny turned out to be an 1857 "DAY & MIEVILLE" token from Dunedin, Chris. Worthless, unfortunately.

Crikey you boys, well done!! Especially PB. Four half crowns and four florins surely could never be beaten, thats got to be a 'best in a lifetime' type result. Amazing.

Incidentally, though I've had some excellent silver days myself, I've never found a halfcrown and florin on the same day. I've always wanted to, but never managed. To do this feat several times over on one hunt is plain rude Chris. You should be ashamed of yourself instead of all this gloating. ;-)

Dont want to swap an F4 for your F2 do ya?

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

I used to golf every other year or so, and one time took a mighty swing with an iron and the head came off. Went quite far and buried itself in the fairway and I never found it. So thats how you lose one I guess.

I reckon they are burying what they found last week and pretending to find it again. :-)

No no, as I said on your ring thread, you need to cut right in front of Poohbear. Imagine the loot you would have come away with if you had done that on this hunt.
