Often wondered if ever I get a chance to pan for the yellow stuff somewhere in NZ what is a
good size pan to buy. And with the plastic ones what colour. I suspect small flecks would show well on
blue or green.

Any comments?

Get the biggest steel pan on the market you can load them rite up with gravle they dont loose there shape like the plastic one,s.

Get a small plastic one. You can use it one handed and you can back-wash in it to clean up your concentrate.
Big pans are for people who don't know how good small ones are.

Ooo now come on ! i have got a selection of pans not only do i have a steel goldminers/prospectors man pan but 3 or 4 girly bendy plastic one,s of verious size,s that i only use for consintrate....at home o the shame getting busted down the river with a small plastic bendy pan doing it one handed....unless of course you had a speights in the other hand:)
