Does anyone know where I can use my highbanker?

My wee highbanker (which I built/used whilst living in Australia) just uses a 1" pump to run the sluice and its fed by elbow grease and sweat on the end of a shovel so there is no mechanical means when it comes to moving material.

Was just wondering if anyone is happy to "lease" their claim for a day (happy to part with beers or coin)?

We are heading over to Greymouth this weekend to take the kids to Shanty Town and I would like to run the highbanker for an afternoon but am acutely aware that you can't use it on the public areas - frustrates me that I can't use it in the streams/rivers yet I could turn up with a jet boat and spray as much water about as I like! ahh

If anyone has any suggestions please reply or PM me.

Thanks very much!

Cheers for the heads up. Luckily we have some discount vouchers and will be packing a lunch too based on what you've said!

Thats a bloody awesome offer Mike - thanks.

Honesty is no problem - and I'm sure you'd see through my silly grin if I found some anyway.

I will send you a PM on the subject once I work out when I am allowed to come up there, think we are heading to Nelson shortly to visit a crook relative so might be able to hang a day off the end of that.

Thanks again,

Peter
