only had a quick hour to hunt late this arvo and had just finished saying to lachie my hunting buddy that afer all the crap I had been finding I must be due for some gold... nek minnit !

It's a bit damaged but I also used the pin pointer to pull out 6 broken bits of gold chain too. It looks old and was probably a thin 9ct locket with brass inserts

thanks guys yes I will make more vids...the next one is to be my 50th detecting video and so I have some goodies I will be giving away in a contest of some kind....maybe all who comment and subscribe go in draw to win or similar...just for the hell of it :)

If I'm good for eff all in this wide world at least I will leave some online vids for some or none to view haha

interesting you say it looks older than victorian...I thought so too and also I've found some old lockets before that don't look half as bad as this piece...the place I found it was being used from 1880's till now... NZPoohbear it was about 20 metres from where you found that old silver necklace piece wink wink :)

Hoping the rain stays away tomorrow as am planning on going back to a spot I was at last Sunday...done more bottle digging and ground probing than detecting and found some 1880 ring seal beers and 1 blue medicine all complete, as well as fragments of old crocks, stoneware, english pottery....I can't wait!

Cheers
Dan
