hi all spring is here, lighter nights andrew and i managed an hour after work dug some lovely silvers plus a silver school pin,very enjoyable.

Yes indeed.....a very enjoyable hour or two this afternoon with Roy.
The wee silver pin badge "quanti est sapere" translates "How valuable is wisdom" and is the school motto for Waitaki Boys High School, established in 1883.....not saying that it is a badge from this school, as it doesn't mention Waitaki on the badge but I'm guessing it certainly could be.
Some nice finds again there Roy, including three of those tidy silvers from one hole!.....Way to go Roy!

.....and after a bit more research, I can confirm that it is from Waitaki Boys High as their school crest is identical to the emblem on the badge.
