hi nugget hunter,i think its a cumpus,there is a bracket for a pencil, the steel point on the other end has rusted away.cheers roy,its got inches marked up the slide

hi expat,yes fab sixpence 1908 came out almost like you see it. always have trouble getting the gray deposit off of the long buried silver,how about you?

Yes I know what you mean, I'm a big fan of soaking in white vinegar which usually does the trick.
That really is a superb coin, rarely do his coins come up with his hairlines so evident, he nearly always looks as bald as a peeled egg. Amazing condition.
