Hey guys! Havnt hunted for days and was home all day today. My dad came round and while we waited 10 mins for something I had a scout round my backyard. Bugger me found a 1935 sixpence! And rubbish. I know a few of yous have found stuff in the yard at home so I thought I'd start a thread for home finds. Will post my pic tomorrow.
What have/will you dig up at home??!!

Cool idea foiled again..... You just never know what's lurking under the lawn. One thing you can be sure of, is that you won't find a pop-up sprinkler system under my lawn!......but maybe a 1909 silver cased pocket watch!! Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. Also a couple of pennies, an old rusty axe-head and a cool old spoon..........plus lots of lead-head nails!.......as someone once said to me......."Ahhh the benefits of living in OLD Christchurch!"

Pretty boring but 10 mins of detecting the yard while waiting for my awesome pork fillet to BBQ turned up a 1955 nz penny and a half penny which looks to have been intricately mowed into a cool shape.
Damn cool finding stuff in ya own yard!
