Hey fellas, I'm new to the lurking suspiciously in riverbeds / fossicking game, so would anyone be kind enough to provide me with a map showing me where the gold is? (Insert trolling smiley here haha). But seriously, are there any more detailed maps out there than the ones that just show the general gold field or is that stuff never released to the public? I've done a bit of googling but found nothing very specific.

welcome stalker

if you go down to the river to look for gold make sure you take your long coat and dark glasses you want to look the part when lurking
it is always handy to have a bag of sweeties to offer little children while lurking
a white cane can do wounders for opening lines with old ladies while lurking

on a seious note (bugger it) i dont know of any detailed maps just keep brousing through the forum and ask questions about areas that you may be interested in

by the way most on the forum dont lurk only me with the cane

Interesting.... my next question then would be where I can buy cheap sweeties in bulk, I'm too skint to pay retail after buying a fancy sluice box and a few other goodies!! I already look dodgy enough when I'm stalking trout, I can't imagine what people are going to think when they see me fiddling with overburden and inspecting crevices.

Btw is there any way to delete a topic? I meant to post this in the general discussion area, but had a couple of pages open and posted it here by error. Hmm nevermind I'll just leave it here, hopefully the detectorists won't mind.... and if they do I'll just have to offer them a sweetie.
