Hello,

The tender process is to allow the market to find the price it wants to pay. In addition, I have a figure in mind where it's not economically viable for me to sell. i.e. would be better taking it with me.

As for how does it compare to the 5000? I am not qualified to say. As with any detector it is as good as you are at hearing the break in threshold.

I understand the 5000 is a step up on removing hot rocks in less swipes of the coil.

I have found sub gram sized gold (lead shot size) with the detector and the elliptical coil.

Regards,
Glen.

Just to let you know...

Glen was the legend who organised the Aussie gold detecting trip back in May so I've seen his gear first hand. It's in immaculate condition and very well looked after. Just in case you want any assurances ;)

Cheers,
Gavin

I can verify the assurance Gavin has given, I was in WA and saw the 4500 find gold, it's in imaculate condition; and I'm sure it picked up a bit where I'd just been over with a 5000!.

Hi John,

Yes it did pick up a bit ;) - I believe that was its first bit for the WA tour.

Regards,
Glen.
