Anyone ever find a 1935? There were 40,364 minted so out of a total of 63,800,364 silver 3P made. So by my math you have a 0.075% chance of every 3P you dig up being a 1935. So if you find 150 or so one should be a 1935 right?

I managed four silver 3ds today, and a 1935 6d, but not the one sought. Still looking, closely. every time.

Keep digging Madsonic.

I'm not a Rhodes Scholar, but I think one threepence in every 1581 threepences should be a 1935 threepence.

That's a bloody good effort on your part though

Unless you're hunting in a park that was established in 1946. That might upset things a bit.

On the other hand, if you were hunting in a park that was established in 1933, held coin scrambles in 1935 and was fenced off in 1936 for a tiger enclosure, your odds of finding a 1935 3d would improve immensely.*

* Also the odds of being killed by a tiger while pulling a 1935 3d from the ground.

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

Orana park. Those lions still hangin out there. Used to go rabbit shooting around there. We could here the lions roar as we were walking the fence lines. Walking with a gun sounds safer than doing it with the detector. Dare you to jump the fence so to speak.
Oh, and dont stare them in the eye.
