hay thanks for that but i already brought one off coiltek on monday cost $90nz including freight to my door from oz, oroplata lended me his for the mean time till mine arrives fired it up today runs great but doesnt seem to like the emi around the back yard so will be out and about on saturday testing it out seen how good the sd2200d are compared to the other detectors i have had,i still dont think it would beat the xterra with 6inch coil on it but if xterra-steves is around the waka this weekend would be great if he could get ahold of me and test them out

Well, good luck out there, the SD wont be near as sensitve to the fine stuff (below half gram) but I've only heard good things about their depth and ease of use etc.
Will have to catch up some time and see it in action as I have often thought about getting one.

And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

yea they still are very good machines my one has next to no use it got brought brand new and put in the cubbord and thats where it sat until i brought it got a new battery and away i go, in oz the mineralization is so bad but bring them over to nz chuck a mono on and they run real quite can pick up everything i have never had much trouble finding gold with my old detectors witch were vlf's iv spent quite a few hours using minelabs, study the manual about ten times and ur got it covered pretty much lol ,my mate just brought a gpx5000 today so when it arrives from oz we can test out the sd compared to the brand new minelabs(maybe even post some findings up on here), now instead of dredging our claim we most probably will be out detecting full time lol
