He was resurrected after having spent some time entombed near the half-way line of a rugby field.
Thought it was silver until the coating fell off while he was getting a scrub.

Have covered exactly half of the rugby field so far, for 201 coins (12 silvers), one silver ring and one 9ct gold signet ring.

That is a damn good tally so far.

Got any pics of the rings?
Good luck with the second half.

Hi Peter

I am using an Xterra 705. There must be some good stuff lying around in Coromandel somewhere, but 100 years of kikuyu grass does tend to bury things deeply . One advantage these South Island fellows have, the vegetation just doesn't grow as fast.

Managed to get back and finish waving the coil over the rugby field.

As previously stated, the first half of the field yielded 201 coins, 12 of which were silver.

The second half had 188 coins, 14 of which were silver.

The dead ball areas had 32 coins (5 silver) and 15 coins respectively.

So the total for the rugby field was 421 coins, of which 31 were silver. Plus one silver ring, one gold ring and a 24g silver chain and 43 zillion sprigs.
