Not to be scoffed at all the same.

What mode were you using, how deep was it, and what number was displayed?

Had the threshold turned way up to +40 so i could hear over the water (had lost the headphones temporarily),
was in the 1st shovel of dirt, so i guess 0 to 4/5inchs down, don't actually remember looking at the number - lol!

A lovely thing to find, I'd be thrilled with that.
For somebody whose mind cannot register in grammes, how big is it? I'm guessing around 3mms or so is that right?

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

Whats wrong with grammes? the nugget is about a third of a pennyweigh or 1/62 of an oz. That help?
And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

Yep, about a quarter of my little fingernail sized bit. Might just cover the word "one" on the dollar coin.
