What a pleasure to be rid of the permafrost & back to digger friendly ground. Went out detecting this arvo for a few hours, up into some old sluiced workings. 14 litlle pieces for just on 4.5 grams. The bigger ones are still eluding me but the small ones all add up.

Happy hunting

Well done JW. I can definitely see some of the attractions of being down south, then I realize it was 16 degrees here today.

G'day Gary, We havnt had a frost now for 4 days but I am sure that will change & the permafrost will be back with us. We must have hit double figures today as well. I dont know how dredgers do it down here in the winter as it is bad enough detecting.
You been getting up the Coro creeks & getting a bit of colour?

JW :)

Summer has obviously arrived early down there.

I've been up a couple of little creeks, that I hadn't been to before. Just for a look. Found a small bit or two in each of them - just enough to let you know it is gold country, but nothing to get too excited over. Always good to go somewhere new though.l

Been swinging the coil at a few parks to add to the coin collection. Seems to be a bit more pleasant than crashing through the wet bush.

Keep posting those pics though, it is quite inspirational.

Thanks for that JW.

Good to watch and yes, it was inspirational. Not only to find it but to record it as well. I hope you've got a good camera for when it is your turn.
