What did it read?

It read between 38-40 solid tone I'm glad that there were a bunch of us there to see it

On my F4 I dig between 33 and 40 on a solid repeatable tone. Not on a scratchy lead in and out. 30-32 are usually the leaf part without the pull bit of the tab. Full pulltabs are normally 42. Some threepences can be 40. I also dig 27-29 and have had threepences in this area. Hunter I imagine you would have similar numbers.

Full or one bar down on the sensitivity and three notches up on the discrimination. No headphones.

Had a wee look around with peter today in the park. Finally found my 1st silver shilling! Also got an nz 3d,aussie penny and US 1 cent some old decimal and $8 in spendies.

Got an invite from nzpoohbear40 last Sunday, to join him at the park where Hunter got his half sovereign. No half sovereign but did manage to pull out a nice wee Birmingham 18 carat wedding band, hallmarked for 1987 (n), so not that old........and during my first ever park hunt too!........beginners luck I guess. It's about the size of the old 5 cent piece, so not big but quite heavy.
Learned a thing or two about my Garrett Scorpion too......great for gold and shallow finds, not so good for deeper coins and relics. Thanks to Chris for his time, advise and great company.......much appreciated mate! I think I'll be looking to invest in an F2 (or maybe an F4) sometime soon. Looking forward to another hunt with you guys too. Cheers, #8.

A GOLD ring for sure. You will have to stop showing them the hot spots first.

Ahh yes, it certainly is GOLD. The great thing about this however Creamer, is that Chris will gain a sale from it!! The time he spent talking to me about detectors and showing me the advantages/disadvantages of my current detector........not to mention the finds he had that afternoon with his F2......has swayed my opinion of what I am using for coins and relics, and will now get another detector especially for this purpose..........Gold hunting with one..........coin and relic with the other. Advise and knowledge is a piece of GOLD all on it's own!.....aye Chris....;)
