Hi to everyone have recently purchased a gold bug 2 (thanks Colin) am currently researching coromandel area.I will be here for another week if anyone's interested in hooking up for a look around,there is some good weather coming next few days.I'm new to metal detecting so this is more of a get to know your equipment trip. I have been mining before but for a commercial company in Australia underground operating a rock drill. Also owned a sapphire mining claim with a couple of Aussies many moons ago at ruby vale Queensland.still have some cut sapphires left from that adventure.any way just thought I better introduce myself.I'm in Thames at the moment.

Hi Gman, just caught up with your post, sorry I missed your visit, I have a gold bug 2 as well also learning, live north of Coromandel town, and have somewhere to stay. I go down to to NP to visit family fairly regular so maybe we can catch up some time.
