I was down in Gisborne last week and took the Minelab for a walk in the park.

The following items all came from under one tree and all were within 3 metres of the trunk.

36 coins in total, 19 were decimals. 1 x 6d, 9 x pennies (1884 to 1956), 6 x halfpennies (1875 to 1952), 1 farthing (1916).

Nothing too flash or fancy but I just thought I would reiterate an earlier post from another member about how good trees can be.

Top haul. When we go out we always do around the trees. Old climbing/shade trees and the ones running along beaches are always worth a try.
