Was a real pleasure meeting you guys! :)

I couldn't believe how many coins hunter pulled out of his first hole and 3 of them silver! He's blessed by special metal detecting powers :P

Hmmm.

1. Hunter is blessed by special metal detecting powers

2. Hunter is one lucky bastard.

3. Both of the above.

We should do a poll on that.

It was fun having so many people at the park with different detectors.

2 ideas for next time:

1. We mark off a 5 by 5 section of that domain then one by one we go over it and mark (with numbered plastic golf tees or something) each hit, and write down what we think each ping is. Start with the weaker machines moving up to the deeper ones, maybe. Then after everyone's been over it, we dig all the holes in unison and record what was in each.

2. Once that's been done, I fire up the Deepers with the BIG COIL on it and see if it can find anything further down, just for shits and giggles.

Another thing that would be cool to do would be to air-test all the different machines/coils with some small nuggs, but I think we need to use a different venue than the Club Bar for that. Maybe find one of the sports teams around the area that might allow their clubrooms to be rented for an evening or a scout hall or something?

Or.....we give Hunter a half hour head start and see if anybody else can find a single silver coin.

That sounds like fun.

Yeah, thoroughly enjoyed that night time hunt. I wouldnt mind if we made it a regular feature, we could perhaps bring the meeting forward to 7, have a couple of hours there and go out for a search at 9, slowly working our way through a host of different parks. I'd be up for that.

Hunter would have to be banned though to ensure there was something left for us mere mortals to find.

(Only joking Martin, jammy b****) ;-)
