hi all, had a mini coin spill,still inside what i thought was a silver purse,turned out to be plated,quite exciting to see a purse with something in it,ended up with a 1916 halfcrown,1915 florin and a 1919 threepence,purse fell apart when i tried to open it,cheers roy

Absolutely dream find. Not only a spill but the purse to go with it. I'd be over the moon with that little score.

I'm guessing, looking by the amount of wear on the coins that they had been circulating for around ten years max which would make them a mid twenties loss. Thats my guess anyhow.

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

I love it and being a collector of British coins would have gone totally balistic if I had found it - I would have been gaa gaa for a month - its weird that I got so used to finding gold once that I would get more of a kick finding what you have found - great going.
