i found the collectables are a bit deeper here then at the Hagley, the poor X-Terra struggled in coin mode to reach and read the targets. It was not a bad day though, also got $ 17 in spendables.

Nice one Peter, 17 bucks is a nice result!!

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

Glad to hear those coins are hard to find. I pulled a couple of hundred coins out of cranmer square about 20 years ago! From memory didnt get many silvers so they are prohably still there. They were found with a non discriminating T/R detector that was made in NZ and cost $100.00. Cheers Mike.

cheers everyone, interesting to read that parks still protucing small finds after 20 years of metal detecting. I can say there were a lot of metal detector digging signes, so yeah the place is hunted over a lot.

cheers for that, the ring has two hallmarks, one STS, c'ant read the other one. Unfortunate the spade left some marks too. The snake buckle is some sorte of a cast and well worn. Do you know what it was used for by the english army?
