Well done mate, superb days effort. Surely my turn next week?

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

Well done! I didn't have a bad day. A threepence that I had that I thought was clad was silver. Today 7 pennies, 2 halfpennies, some 1s and 2s a couple of clads. Silver was 6 X 3d and 2 x 6d. 29 coins altogether and no jewellery. I noticed that the 3d's came in on different readings. Only one was an english one. Some had solid readings, some jumped around and most were 150-200mm deep!

Cheers Mike.

What detector are you using metal mikey? minelab etrac? fishers F75, minelab 705? 150mm to 200mm is very good for those little 3p and 6ps. My teknetics T2 should be capable of it too, once I work out how to use it!

Hi Tonznz. Im using a Fisher F4 with 11" double D coil. Purchased 2 months ago. Full sensitivity but not too much discrimination (3 notches). I dig a few pulltabs and a few iron caps but that reasures me of more rings in the future. Would be interested on settings from other owners. I have never found a shilling or a half crown for that matter. I live in hope. Cheers Mike.
