Nice finds.
Most of you ChCh guys seem to be finding silver coins but I wondered are you also finding any spendable?

Beautiful finds and that charm bracelet has cleaned up very nicely. Imagine all of the misery for the people who lose all these goodies we find.

I have a tin with all my top coins it has $150.00 in but I am well in to at least $300.00 but I don't really go looking for spendables

Yeah silver and gold are much more satisfying finds but spendable is still a welcome find.

I have been thinking about the effect of EFTPOS on future detecting .
With less people carrying cash the re-seeding rate of coins must be reducing
quite steadily and silver stopped going in to the ground years ago so what will detecting be like in say 5 years?

Nice finds yet again Martin. Had my first silverless day this year today, not even a humble threepence despite finding heaps of old pennies.
Am heading out tomorrow and tempted to catch up with you boys on Hagley. The weather looks to be good. Might see you there.

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.
