Hi folks,

I've been detecting for a month or two now, so I thought it was about time I put up my finds. I've spent a bit of time out with Nzpoohbear at Hagley and just around local parks when I can escape the house.
You will note that there are no $1 or $2 in the pics....my kids snaffle those as it is an easy way to bribe them to come out with me.
I think I am running around $25 so far though....a wee while away from giving up my day job, but so much more fun :)

It has been interesting to detect without the headphones on as I have a lot of people wander up to chat - the older generation are really helpful with the 'have you tried just up of the hill there as that's where they used to...' and things like that :)

The Pukeko was found about the same time as the half crown, so he might be coming along with me as a good luck charm now.
The tennis racket is heavy, but I imagine its pewter or something similar. What do you guys think about the arrow thing? I think thats what it is anyway.

Edit: The website errored when I tried to upload the pic before - will have another crack

When you go for a pinpointer, make sure you spend the coin to get a good one. The Garrett pro pointer is awesome!

Good selection of treasure and I love the half crown - You have hit the nail on the head with the arrow thing - I am 99% certain that it is an aluminium shafted target arrow which has broken, as they do, especially the ones I fired when they ricochet off house rooves, walls, trees and the car...I sure in hell aint no Robin Hood.
