Good stuff PB. I've always wanted to get around the groynes I thought it had been around since like 1900 or so and I remember going there 30 years ago as a kid then I found our it was created in like the 50's but very popular as a picnic spot. Wonder if the shallow water holds some goodies..?
There's another to find and I'm gunna find it!

Nices ones, well done Chris. I always thought the Groynes had been hammered to death.

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

Right! I thought. Chris is at The Groynes, and probably pulling silvers out like they're going out of fashion. So wife and kids go for a bike ride around the groynes while I shadow Chris for a while.

Aha! My plan is working. THREE FLORINS! 1947, 1948, 1964

Oh... wait.....

That and a 50c, 20c, 2x 2c, 2 x 1c.

A red aluminium Maltese Cross, and $3 in goldies.

Ah well. Time for plan B.

25 silver rings total with those two yesterday...no havnt got one of those trays yet but i want to get one..i think it would look much better than just having them sit on my display case with everything else.

Hi simon and thank you...no the groynes not hammered out yet..lol....i heard the same thing about hagley but look what we are still pulling out of there..lol

that is the 2nd and 3rd silver ring plus a silver necklace i have pulled just out of that one spot...i will be going back to the area
again with my little 5 inch coil to sort through the junk better....if there is 3 silver rings and a necklace just in the one area surely
someone must of droped a gold ring....cant all be silver...hahaha

I got a bit excited and went to the Groynes yesterday on my day off. Was there for about an hour. Didnt find anything older than a 2c but did get about $10! Im two/thirds to paying off my detector cost! (100 down-50 to go hoho!)
There's another to find and I'm gunna find it!

I managed to get an hour in the afternoon at hagley. More bleedin' CuNi's! 1951 half crown, 1950 shilling. Gaaaaaa!

Does the reserve bank give you 20c for a florin and 10c for a shilling?
