I banged into LepreSean and he told me about this forum... so here i am... I am 6mths into a year long trip hitchhiking around the south islands gold fields, stopping at any fossicking areas... heading next to Britannia stream for about a week to 10 days... just a tip... if your in the Murchison area, take a walk up the mangles with your pan... its well worth the look... if you can think of any places worth the visit... let me know... well that's me for now... if ya see me about, say Gday... Have a good one...

I do dig down by the swing bridge but that is definitely a spot whenthe river is low and when I take the family to visit the mother in law, the river is up 9/10. Which patch do you go to? Ariki Falls is a good spot for crevicing and there are a lot of them dwon stream a bit from the falls in the granite Good hunting
