Hi to all, I just joined, a friend mentioned this site and said I should post my day's find, so I've just done that,(hope you all enjoy the pic). A month back I pulled up a 5.18 grammer and some smaller pieces. Today detected 2 pieces totaled .44g. I'm using a minelab 4500 with a 14x7 elliptical mono nugget finder coil, I wouldn't go looking for gold with anything else.
Last year went to the golden triangle, came out with a 12 gram nugget. Be going to WA in July and tackle the red dirt there. Might post some pics from there,(if I find some nice nuggets there)
Cheers Paul

Hi and welcome. Can't see your pic though. What are the rules for bringing gold nuggets back to NZ from Oz?

Pics in 'show and tell' "a day's find" No rules in taking gold either way, as long as its clean, and you aren't taking a huge amount or you would have to declare, taking gold across you don't have the currency change and fees taken out, and it's easy enough to sell
