Hi Starflash,
I built a new dredge while up north,
Brought a new Honda water pump, total dredge cost me about $1,200
Not to bad for a 4 inch set up.
Managed close to three oz for 15 days work,
best day 12.5 grams, worst day 0.7 of a gram
cheers
Steve

Cheers Guys,
Matt yep that be the one.
May have to purchase a 4000 or 4500, to get down through the overburden,
Pretty sure there has been no detecting done up there as most of the gold was pretty easy find,
Back up river next week
Take care All and happy EASTER
Steve

Howd you get on when you went back up the river mate? I had a not bad run recently 21 grams in about 10 hours in the river . biggest was 3.6 grams was an overnight trip but most of the gold came from first day
And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

Those are great pieces of gold - the larger nugget is a really nice looking piece of gold - it goes to prove that this is truly the age of the detectorist - a whole new era. Even I am sold on them...well I am on my Goldbug but not my big Minelab!

Great going and look forward to seeing more.
