Went to the big H with my wife yesterday, she found a NZ one penny 1946 and some trash I found a Victorian gold brooch 9ct
it would have had stones in it at one time but they are long gone also some trash (pul out so others dont have to dig it )
So the big H pays off again
Dont forget to fill your holes

hi hunter, you may want to visit that hole again, take a shovel and take the soil home and put it thro a sieve the stones would have been there when dropped, ive seen it where the setting clasps fall off when digging, look again, you might be suprised, thanks roy

Thats interesting though I must admit I have never found any good quality jewellery with stones missing as they were held in by the little clawed over pieces of gold but I suppose that if they were held on with something that was water soluble over the years then they would fall off but I have never heard of it and it would surely have to be very poor quality jewellery I would have thought for the stones to only be glued in rather than gold raised bits peened over?

Just a heads-up.

They appear to have quietly moved the closing time of the Armagh St car park to 6.30pm from the 11.30pm they had it at for the Arts Festival stuff. So don't get caught out!
