Hi Everyone,
Has anyone tried a Hip stick for metal detecting ? There's a guy on youtube called Jonathan Porter who demonstrates one. It's a harness and a stick and transfers the weight of the metal detector from your arm to your hip ,which looks really good if your using a big coil.
So has anyone tried one ? Is anyone selling one in NZ ? If not my giril friend is pretty handy with the old sewing machine. If we made a couple, would anyone be interested in buying one ? There really is much to them so they would be pretty cheap.

Hi there EAF, Yes, they are the best thing since sliced bread I use one all the time on coils over 11". If you copy these & make them to sell.....dont let JP (Jonathen Porter) find out. Check out his comments on this thread. I guess he has a point but I thought it a bit tuff on the DIYer who is just making one for their own personal use. But if you copy to sell....that is a different story.

For 13 days it rained and I either had a rain coat or wet suit on. Yes I prospected in the rain and got a few little crumbs. You could hear rocks rumbling down the creek . Working on a new Kiwi invention and narrowing it down on where to go.
