Hey there guys .Ive been wanting to buy a Fisher Goldbug for awhile but a Garret gold stinger has turned up on trade me for 650 buy now and comes with 4 coils which i think is a good buy.I read the reviews on the stinger and overall good detector but takes long time to master. In terms of quality and accuracry in locating small nuggets which would be the best option.I would also like to use for looking for old coins and the like but primarily for gold.
Any feedback appreciated

cheers

I hav enever seen or used a gold stinger so cant really comment on it. It seems a good buy tho for that price.
The gold bug is good but it would obivously be more expensive. The standard coil it comes with workks for both gold and coins.
And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

Another vote for the Gold Bug - $650 is too much to pay for older technology . It would have been okay buying for half that price perhaps.
