on my recent outing which produced some good gold i found;
a "The Miners Mole" button and a Button from a British Merchant Seaman's uniform, I have researched the makers name and it appears to have been produced between 1865 and 1875 although another smaller random site said it was typical of the 1890s to 1910 but did not mention a makers name, so who nows, its old anyway.

It has gold guilding so when i dug it up it looked like i had found a really big nug!!

I found two of the the miners mole buttons a while back around an old... perhaps I should leave it at that. Where do you do your detecting starflash? I know auckland isnt anywhere near any 'good' gold.
And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!
