I'm a female, I don't find as much time to hunt as I'd like but I am addicted to metal detecting lol, I know madsonicboating (from off here) and as he mentioned I was lucky enough to find an 1857 gold half sovereign with my trusty ACE 350 =D!!
I have looked on here now and then so thought now seemed a good time to join, so Hi.
When I figure out how to upload photos etc I will try and share the results of my hunts. Its always fun to share your finds with like-minded people :)

Gidday - congratulations on being a female - and also for finding the half sovereign - I think it might be one I lost during my last reincarnation. Welcome to the forum. I have been metal detectoring for a good few years - takes shoes and socks of to count fingers and toes but cant tell you how many years because I ran out of fingers and toes so its over twenty years...well actually I started in 1980...and I have never yet found a gold coin so you have done extremely well.

It is older than most coins found and to date the oldest gold coin I have heard of being found in Kiwiland - dont sell it - keep it as gold is a great investment.

Hmmm - funny thing but I was always looking for a female gold mining companion to!

Good luck with your future detectoring but please leave the odd gold coin for me...and I dont mean brass 'gold' coins.

Great find! I bet you did a great victory dance! I would be dancing and skipping all the way home! My wife would even get excited about that one!

And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!
