Have you had much luck with it? I'm also curious as to how much is it worth?

What price do you have in mind? Have an interest as it would suit something I am looking at.

hello everyone. the goldspear cost $2900 new from goldstrum sweden we still have the receipt. we are open to any offers. it has one extension length same as spear length. i'm selling it for my partner who tried it a few time with not much luck but his dad did very well off it, think i remember him saying he had an oz in a day from. think like anything its about perseverence. we are based on west coast of south island near franz josef.

Interesting device. They reckon it can detect when the tip touches gold and distinguish it from other metals. If it works, it would be quite good for picking where to dig on a black sand beach on the west coast.

They don't make them anymore apparently.

I don't want to sound mean and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but as a sells person you would make a good drain layer. No one knows what you are selling.

Thats a bit tough EAF, I know exactly what he is selling & I am sure alot of others do as well. Do a google search on a Gold Spear if you dont know what one is or check this footage out.

LOL, in fact LMFAO - EAF, you're a funny dude, thanks. Yeah I also know what he is selling, in fact I have seen one. Would be very handy on a beach claim or maybe even on a river with layers of gravely sand. Not a very popular item, partly because they were expensive as hell, partly because hardly anyone really has a need for one. NUGGY

thanks john for the video. turns out the video is 25 years old. worth a watch tho. dunno about the qualifications of the panner featured. looked a bit depressed too. laughed at his feeble attempt to climb the cliff. wouldn't cut it around these parts that's for sure.

an interesting device tho. really only good in sands. i wonder if you hooked up with a gps unit it would perform better. i know beaches can change pretty quick in a storm. easy to know your spot in a river but the goldspear would be very useful if you could work a grid and load all the results to a computer along with its coordinates.

Hi Simon, Yes it would be a very handy gadget to add to the arsenal. That footage is quite old but covers things quite well. Especially for the newchum. Paints a good picture of the gold spear but did no favours to the panner, like you say, he wouldnt do too well around here. LOL :)

Good luck out there
