Hi DB, I have an Excalibur 800. Its an awesome machine. I have found one of our new 50c coins down to about 50cm at the beach, deeper then my digging tool was long! I have also found shallow alluvial gold with it (took me a loooong time to find!). I dont run it in the factory preset mode, you can almost double its capabilities if you run it a little hot in manual. The new and the old models are the same inside just the new ones are a little prettier. The exchange rate is favourable at the moment as there are always good second hand ones on Ebay.

Ok guys,
so i've spoken with David Marsden Steven Distributors Limited (minelab dealer in CHCH)
who advised the reason behind high price for minelab machines in NZ....

Basically, i will be contacting USA dealers/shops and trying to arrange shipping to NZ within next 2 weeks.

Please let me know if anyone want to order any other detector so it will go all in one shipping and will be easier to clear at customs in one go.

i will be ordering :

* Minelab Excalibur2
* additional battery pack
- whatever coms as bonus : Sandscoop+pin pointer etc...

Regards

I have been looking at the Garrett Propointers if throwing one of them in will help with your negotiations.
Own: Lobo SuperTraq, Garrett ATPro, Minelab Excalibur

FK,
all dealers refusing to sell outside US- new policy as they will loose licence to be minal dealers.

THis is rdicilous. :(
and that means i will loose all bonuses if i order localy and will pay extra 300$, but husstle free. (no need to involve 3d party person in USA to get unit shipped to , then ask them to send to US. declare and all that shit.)

So that means i need to save up alittle bit more .=(

I need fully sub as i am planning on snorkling with it at high tourist areas like Thailand for example.
also there are Huge Waves at the beach as well and final think

Minelab Excal goes so deep that i will be able to pick up a lot real old drops burried in sand - and that is exactly what i need for winter +:-)
