sure the gold lab will get most of your gold out easily but it is bloody slow i would stay away from anything that involves a blue bowl they involve an extremly tedious process which anyone in there right mind would not put themselves through!!

last september i had a bad experience with black sand and a blue bowl so i brought in one of allan trees gold grabber funnel feeder. it cost me $590.00(frieght included) and is by far the most simplest contraption for separating gold from black sand if you want to maybe use the blue bowl from the concentrates from the funnel feeder ( left with a cup full) for me it is a small enough amount to just run the mercury through.

theres the link have a look this is one product i have been 100% satisfied with

WHAT!!!!! $590.00 for that. You must have more money than sense (cents) Why didnt you just make your own or something very similar??
The secret to blue bowls is to Pre Classify the material into the same size particles by using a series of different size sieves & running each classification seperatly. It is no use trying to chuck all your mixed up concentrates in one heap into the blue bowl & expect majic. It isnt rocket science that if you have bigger particles & smaller particles all mixed in together that you need a stronger water flow to move off the bigger particles......& guess what happens to the smaller particles & SMALLER GOLD???? They go west with the bigger particles. Same with running a sluice box. You need to know what size gold you are dealing with as to how fast a water velocity you run through your box. Also what size riffle you should be using as well.
If the gold is small then you are best to classify the material before you put it down your box. You can then use a smaller riffle & slower water velocity which is all good for smaller gold recovery. If you use larger riffles & need the stronger water flow to move on the bigger material then it is tha same as chucking all your concentrates into the blue bowl. You need the stonger flow to wash off the bigger material & out west your finer gold goes as well.
