Sure did. Sorry to say its not a 2014 silver... but a 1911 george v penny. The only 30.8mm copper coin of george v is a penny im sure.

An american 1933 GOLD coin called a double eagle, of value $20, sold for 6.5 million. The most expensive coin ever sold.

Were they found on a beach? If so the fan shaped object could be part of a buckle from old 40-50's style swimwear. The centre bit looks very like some buckles I have found and they come in all sorts of decorative designs.

My detecting checklist i use everytime i go out. Written on the garage wall it has become very handy indeed.

* Check that the detector is working before you leave

* Shovel/trowel for digging

* Shoes that have no metal in them (not your steel capped boots)

* Spare detector batteries

* Coin/finds pouch

* Camera

Yeah there has been a couple of times I should have read your list. lol.
I have also added water to my list cos if you hit a good spot it is really easy to forget how long
you have been hunting without a drink.

A mobile is good too so you can advise instantly on a gold find.

Water and cell a must when hunting Metalkiwi. The thrill of a special find is something else. Takes me back to my first silver shilling find. On the side of the road, leaning over a tiny hole in the ground with camera in hand, loaded with V.B.., cellphone other hand to Chrisyboy with near tears in me eyes over this silver first in front of me..
You are right. Dont forget water bottle and cell, ye most important things.

Hi. I see you reading my thread. Spin a yarn, leave a TY, dont be shy.

I threw the detector in for a look after I finished a night shift the other night - discovered why we don't use steel caps when detecting lol

Yes ive made that mistake too a couple of times and had to detect with bare feet. Lucky i was on the beach then. Brought a pair of cheap sneakers for the job and they are all but destroyed from digging and scuffing dirt and sand.
