Issue 2 is a couple of weeks away. Just waiting on the big story to come through and its going to be awesome. Wont say what it is but it will be worth waiting for. Crappy weather alright, windy and cold at times with sunshine in between 12.C here now at 7.30am.
A little surprise the other day i got asked to do a talk at the NZAHAA (NZ Antique and Historical Arms Assoc) club meeting in August. Been a while since my seminar days, looking forward to that. Militaria collectables etc, choice.

Ok, after a morning of searching through Creamer's finds and fighting down the temptation of grabbing the detector and heading to a park, I came across this as the oldest dated silver coin mentioned:

My favourite is the fish lure and the William IV 1834 sterling silver Sixpence. (sounds good doesnt it).

Well there is an article on how to make blasting powder and detonators, and suggested rates for various applications; there is a pictorial on self defence moves with a Lesche knife; there is a technical piece on how to convert an old detector into a rain gutter cleaning tool; oh and it is the annual swimsuit issue, great chance to see your favourite prospector in a speedo.

I am not 100% sure that these all made it into the magazine, but I think that is what is in there.

I can say we have received a mean as article with pics from Star Wars NZ. A couple of GOLD stories this time and another great story from Crisyboy on fossilised wood. Basically a part 2 of issue 1. The first four issues are planned as such.

Issue 1 - Collectors Edition
Issue 2 - Readers Edition
Issue 3 - Anything Edition
Issue 4 - Military Twist Edition
