All very true Simon. Especially your first line. No one gets ALL the gold. I have learnt that one over the years.
Yes I had to laugh at those "dredging in the 12 mile" comments. I recall a pm I was sent by a guy revering to a similar thing up a Coro creek. Thing was though that what he was talking about was all natural & not done by man
I'm off up to Macetown today & was up Skippers creek yesterday. I am playing tour guide for my eldest son & his girlfriend who are here in QT for a week.

Good luck out there

JW :)

i was up the moonlight last weekend had no luck took the metal detector and a pan, i even stumbled across a 6 inch dredge stashed in the bush by the first swing bridge, not even stashed well so i hope there prepared to lose it lol moonlight has been hammered but as nuggy said it is different after a big flood, but people go straight in after a flood and clean the fresh dirt quick so you have to be on to it.

I am a newbie on this site but agree with all that has been said about the 'DoC' Nazis. Interesting that a shed-load of them are about to get the sack. I fossick in the Wakamarina and Cullensville - completely without success but, nevertheless, enjoyable! :-)
