How's it all going folks. I had a chance to get out for a day trip this weekend. I invited my brother and sister along for the day and we headed to some old workings on a hillside above the river. We had a quite slow day on the gold and got just 0.66g in 9 pieces so they were tiny.
We also found an 1834 sixpence and an 1817 shilling which are my oldest silver coins to date. Also found on the day (by my brother) was a 4 pennyweight balance weight. alongside the metal finds we got part of a white clay tobacco pipe and a complete old bottle of some sort. All in all a good day out with a mixed bag of finds.

And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!
