Hi Fellas,

as you know- i ma still new , but being a system analysist and having a small expirience in proposing changes etc i have couple of ideas about (no flaming, just comment on my thoughts please) :

* How we colelct feedback
* How we submit before the dead line

1) as i understand we have following types of gold mining activity :

* Metal detecting
* Sluce box and shovel (hadnheld tools)
* Dredging (different sizes)

2) we have Hobbyists that can:
* Go metal detecting/sl.boxing once a week /a month /really ocasional
* THose who a considered minor miners and doa living out of it.

So lets try to review only one possible scenario now-
* Metal detectoris/Sluce box and shovel
* Ocassional activity

* What area permit can be given for?
* Cost of such permit /per day count?
* Royalties?
* Other thoughts ???
* Other thoughts ???
* Other thoughts ???

Basically we need to review each possible scenario eparetly , crate a discussion toppic- PER SCENARIO. once complte our thoughts- make a bullet points part for submition.

at the end submition should look like:

Proposed changes:

* Include metal detecting
* Include Ocassional Permit
* Permit proce Per activity
* ETC ETC.

THoughts please?

I think thats a damn good way of doing it.....thanks for taking the time D.B.

Now what next is the question.....maybe start a thread on each scenario like you say and attack each question/statement one by one?

Yes, Create a topic for each possible scenario as each scenario will have different set options/prices and suggestions.
Simply cannot compare Metal detectorist flying for the weekend to South island with a local dredge operator, righ? etc.

you, guys from South Island need to start as you have all main info. fresh nubies will share their ideas as Newbies do not have a MINDSET for one way of things to do..... uh.. trying to use proppper English....
i will try again...

Old gold prospector knows things and following one way of doing things.
Newbie known nothing - hence might suggest something new , thinking out of squere.

This needs to be bumped to the top if we want change......or is everyone happy with the measly public areas as I'm sure we are all law abiding citizens who wouldnt be poaching now would we?
